Uber requires that their drivers take vehicles to inspection every year. This annual inspection is necessary to ensure that the vehicle is in good condition for use. Uber takes the safety of its drivers and riders very seriously, thus this exercise is mandatory. Drivers can take their vehicles to inspection at only designated centers.
Complete your vehicle inspection at your nearest inspection center, with the following procedure.
a. Book your inspection
Find the nearest vehicle inspection location and schedule an appointment. The cost of vehicle inspection is Ksh 600 between 8:30 am – 11.00 am on weekdays and Ksh 800 in any other operating hour.
b. Complete the inspection
Complete your inspection on your booked time at the inspection center. There should be no damage indicated on the report.
c. Upload the inspection report
Once you pass the inspection, upload the clear/readable report to your account and ensure the vehicle registration number match the vehicle on your Uber profile. Uber does not cover repairs or maintenance to pass an inspection.
