How to quickly grow your Facebook page

There are many ways that you can use to grow your Facebook fanbase and reach. Here is a guaranteed 7-step plan that you can successfully employ on your page.

1. Identify your target audience

The first step to growing you Facebook page is to identify your target audience; users who are most likely to be interested in products/services or generally the contents of your page. By use of Facebook Audience Insights, isolate specific demographics of people. This will help you curate your content to suit and appeal to the audience. Drill down to country or region(s) where your audience is based. Since Facebook supports only filtering by cities or regions in the same country; if you want an audience based in multiple countries, then you have to repeat the process of filtering for each country individually. To better define your audience, you can refine it based on age and gender, depending on your page or business focus.

2. Narrow down to Niche Interests

Proceed to identify the core interests that relate to your page or business. This will depend on your business industry or category of your page. Try to identify what your audience prefers. This can be achieved to insights, mind blogging and engagement rates.

3. Know your audience

The most important step in growing your page is to understand your audience. This will guide you to know what content to post, how to engage with your audience and how to optimize your content. Use Facebook Insights to know their gender, age, location, language, interests and what time they are online.

4. Post appealing content

Curate your content based on one of the niche interest. This post needs to be as intriguing as possible to encourage engagement. For instance use an image that represents the niche interest, your content must have some relevance to your business/industry, use branding sparingly, use emojis for a creative touch, make the post brief, clear and concise and also include a call to action or question.

5. Boost your post to your target audience

Use Facebook ads to boost your post to give it the traction it needs to start getting reactions, comments and shares from your target market. This requires just a small budget depending your needs and the reach you want your content to get. Ensure you focus your advert to target your niche interest. Wait for Facebook to authorize the boost within 60 minutes or less then proceed to Ads Manager and watch how your ad performs.

6. Engage the audience

Engage with your audience through reactions, comments, replies and messages. Take the initiative and start a conversation with users who react and engage with your post. If someone replies to your post try to react to it as soon as possible and never leave your audience hanging. You can also tag the person and ask a question, this tactic will spark a conversation and if done repeatedly to users commenting to your post it will signal Facebook that the post is performing even better. Your goal should be to encourage as much engagement with your posts as possible.

7. Invite friends/engagements to like your page

Facebook lets you invite your friends or people who have reacted to your posts to like your page. After boosting your post, you need to convert the budget you invested to boost your post and all efforts into targeted Facebook page likes. The sooner you do this, the better.

Conclusion

Follow the seven steps above consistently to grow your ideal fanbase without use of orthodox means like buying likes or followers and ultimately without draining your bank account. Strive to take the step to a more productive relationship with your audience that can convert them into customers for your business.

The new Gmail is here

Google has announced plans to phase out the current Gmail platform and move users to a new design to be rolled out by next month. The new design will first apply to the G-suite users, those who pay to host their custom emails.

At the moment users can only opt-in if the G-Suite administrator has enabled the design. The opt-in option will run for eight weeks, with the migration taking effect sometime in September with an extension of four weeks.

The free users are expected to experience the same changes, for instance I got the opt-in option this morning.

In a new blog posted on the G-Suite website, G-suite admins will have the following options:

  • Immediately transition their users to the new Gmail
  • Allow their users to opt in to the new Gmail at the time of their choice
  • Wait approximately four weeks until their users are allowed to opt in to the new Gmail

The new Gmail comes handy with some impressive features like; Smart Compose that completes sentences for you, confidential emails that self-destruct in a given set timeframe, offline support, a sidebar for Google apps like Calendar and third-party services Asana, mail snoozing, nudging, attachment previews and many more.
