Erotourism is gaining more and more devotees around the world as a new concept of tourism. A greater number of people are now travelling to exotic, faraway countries in search of pleasure: today’s tourists pay to fulfil their desires by travelling to other parts of the world looking for holidays and pleasure in one place. This practice is known as erotourism, or sexual tourism.
Erotourism is defined as a journey taken with the objective of enjoying new sexual experiences, and it is an industry that is becoming more and more significant. In many countries it is totally legal, and tourists can find all kinds of options to satisfy their desires. The Caribbean and South Asia are very popular destinations among sexual tourists.
Erotourism has been practised since ancient times. Nowadays, having new and different sexual experiences is the aim of travelling for thousands of people. That’s why it is now a multimillion-dollar industry – although, of course, what is considered erotic varies from person to person. But who is erotourism aimed at? Any adult traveller looking to have and enjoy intimate encounters.
The aim of giving and receiving pleasure can take different forms, both physically and mentally. Normally, erotourism has been considered as men looking for women. But more and more women are becoming sexual tourists, as well as people looking for same-sex experiences. An advantage of erotourism is that it enables you to enjoy new sexual experiences with total discretion and the freedom afforded by being on foreign ground.
In the end, the star is the traveller themselves, and the pleasurable experiences they have. It’s a style of travelling that allows for all kinds of activities. The most important thing is to set boundaries when practising erotourism. That way it will be a more interesting tourist practice that will last longer, and the erotic moment the traveller wants to experience in order to fulfil their desires and fantasies will be elevated to its peak.
There are a lot of countries that have become popular destinations for the practice of erotourism. Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia and Cuba are some on the American continent. There is also a lot of interest in Asian countries such as Cambodia and Thailand, and African ones like the Gambia, Senegal or Kenya. As time goes on, more and more destinations are offering better and more varied options for tourists. But when it comes to embarking on a new erotourism adventure, it’s important to have all the information you can about what you can and can’t do in each place you’ll visit.
You should be careful with the kinds of activities you plan when looking at erotic holidays around the world. In some destinations, it is illegal to solicit sex work from people in the street. Some countries allow it, while others have established certain areas where it is a normal practice, and in some countries, it is simply against the law.
